Young At Heart

Hello crafty friends I hope you're having a pleasant and productive July! I wanted to capture a touch of Summer with my DT inspiration this month and used a mixture of pretty pinks and sparkle for my multicolour embossing card.
I started with a piece of 13cm square white card. I stamped a heart from the Hearts and Twine Stamp set on a spare piece of card then cut out and attached as shown with some low tack tape. I then stamped J'adore towards the top of the card then sprinkled a mixture of Sweet Cheeks, Yum Yum Bubblegum and Hot Gossip over the top. I removed the excess and put it it a spare pot so I now have a bespoke colour!
Once I had melted the powders with my heat tool I then rubbed pink ink across the card then removed the heart stencil. I then stamped the same heart again directly on to the white space, added Hot Gossip Glitter then melted again with my heat tool.
I then used the Young At Heart Stamp Set with Metallic Silver Regular Powder and stamped part of the sentiment in the heart and the rest in the bottom right corner. I then formed a 'link'  between the two parts  by adding a line of dots with an embossing pen and adding silver powder on top.
Finally, I trimmed the card down to 12.5cm square, layered in a subtle silver mirri board then attached to a 13.5cm square card blank. I hope you like it!
You're sure to have fun with this challenge, enjoy!

Multi-Colour Embossing - Thanks Sweet Friend ❤️

Good Morning Lovely People!

Thank you for stopping by the WOW! Embossing Powder Blog and I am filling in today's spot with my take on this month's challenge of "Multi-Colour Embossing." I needed to make a card to send to a friend so I gathered my supplies and got to work!

So to start off, I cut my cardstock to create a 5.5" x 5.5" card base and cut a 5" cardstock panel to decorate. I try not to touch my card stock too much so that I don't get any sticky fingerprints on there! This will give me a cleaner heat embossed image:

So I inked my Go Figure stamp with my cleanest WOW Embossing Pad ...

And realised that my cardstock panel was bigger than my stamp! So, I stamped the top part first:

And then I re-inked my stamp and stamped where the design ended. I love this stamp so much and find myself reaching for it for all kinds of projects. Once you have heat embossed your image, you won't be able to tell where the second stamped image began!

I then chose two embossing powders: Primary Blue Tang and Colour Blend Oceanic:

I sprinkled Colour Blend Oceanic randomly in some spots and tapped off the excess and put it back in the jar:

And then I covered the whole panel with Primary Blue Tang:

I tapped off the excess and put it back in the jar and then heat set the whole panel:

I felt like I needed something extra, so I use Distress Inks (Barn Door and Walnut Stain) to blend on to the background. The embossed design will "resist " the ink and remain the same colour! You can wipe the panel with a clean tissue to get rid of the excess ink off the embossed surface.

I die-cut the word "Thanks" (Lil' Inker Designs) with white cardstock and then stamped "Sweet Friend" from the WOW Just Saying Stampset with black ink:

I cut the Sweet Friend sentiment to make a tiny banner (my favourite look!). Then I assembled my card, gluing the sentiment down and adding dimensional foam adhesive behind the little banner and behind the panel and added it all to my card base:

I am so pleased with how it turned out and I hope that you got a small peek into how I put my cards together and what I do when I have an "oops" moment, heehee!

Take care and have a wonderful day,

Artist Trading Card by Susanne

Hi my dear crafty friends!

Susanne here and I'd like to share an ATC today.
ATC means Artist Trading Card. I'm sure most of you already know everything about it! ATCs are measuring 2.5" by 3.5". They can be made out of every material you can imagine and are meant for trading, never for sale!

I like to create these cards (although I do not trade), to try out new techniques or products. Later I use them in mini albums or on art journal pages.

On this card I used the Multi Colour Embossing technique on the background and also on the butterflies. You will see everything in my video. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by today!
Don't for get to join our challenge this month with some Multi Colour Embossing!

xx Susanne

Inky card

This month's technique is multicolour embossing and I was inspired by Tania's Hello Card. Tania combined different stamps from the Hearts and twine sheet to create her own design with different embossing powders. The stamps coordinate perfectly with each other.

1. Spray ink on your stencil and flip it over on your card.

2. Stamp on a separate watercolor paper and cover the stamped image with
WOW Misty Sky embossing powder. Heat emboss.
3. Using a wet brush, pick ink an color the stamped image and outside. When dry, stamp
outside with your second stamp and heat emboss with WOW white embossing powder.
Repeat with WOW Oceanic and white embossing powders.
4. I used the same technique, i.e. stamped and heat embossed and stamped a second time
with a different stamp outside and with a different embossing powder (WOW Oceanic
and Misty sky) but I worked directly on the card.
5. Cut out the stamped images and glue them on your card.

6. Add a die cut.
I hope you will be inspired and join our monthly challenge. If you have any question regarding my tutorial you may leave a note in the comment section and I will answer asap.

We wish her all the best in her future crafting endeavours and we were very proud to have had her on our team.

Here's my Multi Colour Embossing post…

Hi Guys,

Marion here, I wanted to share a really simple card design with you using a multi coloured embossing technique. This technique is ages old, but the old ones are the best !!

You'll need a card blank, I always do mine tent fold, but your's can be whatever you choose.
Some circle dies, I used the Spellbinders large circles. and some spare card stock that matches your base card.
Start off by die cutting the smaller of the two circles out of scrap copier paper, then using your card stock, put the two circle dies together and die cut so you get a border.
Place the copier paper on top of your base card and hold down with a bit of washi tape.
Select some of the outline flower stamps from Hey little Flower, ink up each stamp with the WOW! Slow drying embossing pad and stamp the three different styles randomly in and around the circle, don't worry if you overlap, it adds to the effect, remove the copier paper.
Choose three different WOW! Embossing Powders, and pinch the first colour and sprinkle on the stamped area, shake off the excess and repeat with the second colour, on the third colour cover the area entirely, this will fill in all the gaps from the first two colours.
Heat set.

Adhere the die cut circle border, this will fit perfectly as you worked within the same die size.
Taking a sentiment from the Everyday Sentiment Stamps stamp and emboss on a piece of scrap card stock and cut into a banner, adhere with foam pads.
Using a glue pen where ever you want the Sparkles, sprinkle on, shake off the excess, stand back and ADMIRE !!!

Thanks everso for looking, if you have any questions you can E Mail me at

Have a great day !!
Marion xx
